What was the plot of this film again?

Oh yeah, Memphis Raines, played by Nicolas Cage must save little brother, Ribisi, from a nasty British ganster. Aren't all the bad guys Brits? Jolie is the hot blonde ex-girlfriend.

The title says it all: that's all you need to know. You will see the film and forget it 60 seconds after it ends.

And that's the way it should be.

I am not a fan of Oscar Winner, Nicolas Cage. I am neutral about Angelia Jolie. While both may have earned their status through hard, perhaps decent work, they are beneficaries of the Hollywode inside track: nepotism.

Cage is related to director Francis Ford Coppola. Jolie's father is Jon Voight. Scott Caan is the son of James Caan.

How much weight does it carry in casting? I'd think a heck of a lot. So, that makes me a bit leary of watching a "family" flick.

I enjoy films where I don't recognize the actors. I'm happy with unknown, yet-to-be-discovered, or sticks to small roles, actors.

Yet, and yet, I have a weakness for car chase films. Like a cat who likes to run after the dancing light on the wall, I'll go for it. So sue me.

    The soundtrack was nice.
